For nearly four decades, Jack Frost Landscapes & Garden Center has proudly served the Hampton Roads community, providing trusted landscaping services, quality materials, and expert support to homeowners, property managers, and businesses alike. Founded by David Dubinsky in 1985, what began as a small firewood delivery business in Virginia Beach quickly grew into one of the region’s most respected names in outdoor solutions.
Starting with seasoned firewood and bulk landscaping materials like topsoil, sand, mulch, and stone, David built his business around meeting the needs of local customers. His focus was simple—offer quality products, dependable service, and honest communication. Over time, Jack Frost became known for delivering some of the best firewood and topsoil in Hampton Roads.
By the mid-1990s, the company expanded into full-service landscaping, adding design, installation, and hardscaping services. From custom patios and retaining walls to drainage solutions and sod installation, our team began transforming outdoor spaces across the region. In 2000, Jack Frost Landscapes was recognized as an award-winning leader in the industry.
In 2007, we opened our full-service garden center in Virginia Beach, offering a wide variety of native plants, trees, shrubs, seasonal flowers, and gardening supplies. The garden center quickly became a local destination for DIYers, contractors, and plant enthusiasts throughout Hampton Roads. It also serves as the central hub for bulk material pickup and delivery.
In 2012, we expanded once again by launching our commercial lawn maintenance division, serving industrial, multi-family, and municipal properties with consistent, proactive care.
